Our Patient Care Coordinators

Our patient care coordinators are here to greet you with a smile, receive incoming calls, schedule patient appointments as well as answer any questions you may have.

With years of experience working with patients and their insurance carriers,  our insurance billing coordinators are here to assist you with your billing and insurance questions. They are extremely knowledgeable in helping patients understand the specifics of their coverage.

As a courtesy, our office files routine vision wellness claims and/or medical claims with the appropriate insurance company for our patients. We understand that medical insurance can be confusing and are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding your coverage. 

Meet Our Patient Care Coordinators

Catherine started out as a clinical technician at EAWP in 1995.  She then invested some time working in our optical boutique before taking her acquired skills to our patient care department.  Catherine has served as a senior patient care coordinator for over 10 years now and her expertise is in medical billing.  You can always count on Catherine to listen carefully, attentively, and empathetically.  Whether your conversation is brief or in depth, you can instantly tell that creating the best patient experience is her highest priority.

Ileana joined EAWP in 2017 as our front desk receptionist.  Ileana currently spends most of her time helping patients at the conclusion of their exam and filing insurance claims.  She also attends continuing education seminars in order to streamline systems and processes within our electronic medical records. Ileana is passionate about customer satisfaction and has a strong desire to contribute to the team.  She is often voted employee of the month by our team for her positive attitude and commitment to make every day a great day.

Megan is the first face you meet when you enter our practice.  She is always prepared with your necessary paperwork and ready to answer any questions you may have.  When Megan is not greeting patients or preparing for the next day, she can be found in workshop meetings regarding patient care and communication.  She is a strong advocate for effective communication and service transparency for all patients.  Megan is always the first to complete her required continuing education training and is passionate about all the wonderful services we offer to the community.

Nina is a senior clinical technician and is working toward her paraoptometric certification.  She has been in the medical field since 2008, starting in neurology and joining optometry in 2021. Nina also spends her time verifying insurance benefits for patients prior to their exam.  She is an instrumental part of helping patient's maximize their insurance benefits.  Nina's favorite part of working with patients is the diversity and the unique paths we cross at our door.
